The “Nevado” Chopicalqui it’s one of the “six thousand peaks” more beautiful and popular in the “White Range” of Peru, because his normal route it’s technically easy. This Peak is part of the “Huascaran (21981 ft.) range” (highest mountain in Peru), and it’s placed between LLanganuco and Ulta Valley. The views from this summit it’s one of the most gorgeous because it’s surrounded by emblematic peaks. The expedition it’s design in a strategic way, so the client can have a good acclimatization doing some short trekking’s first, to reach the main goal: “El nevado Chopicalqui (20846 ft.)”. Because that we start with a day hike in the “Churup” Lagoon, from Huaraz city to the lagoon at 14763 ft. The second objective is the Nevado Maparraju (17454 ft.) placed in the sud-center part of the White Range. To climb this peak we need 3 days, and we sleep at 13779 ft. The ascension of the Chopicalqui will take 5 days, climbing in a progressive way, using high altitude camp site’s. The last camp it’s on the glacier. The summit day it’s a long day mostly because of the high altitude.
