This 5-day trip between Colonia Suiza and Pampa Linda is the goal of many trekking lovers who are encouraged to start this adventure. Challenging for its duration days, but unforgettable for it route through green valleys, height lagoons, panoramic edges and beautiful landscapes that frame the traverse.

Day 1

Departure from Bariloche by a transfer to the beginning of the trail to “Laguna Negra Hut” in Colonia Suiza. From this point begins the walk along a wide path, surrounded by a beautiful transition forest. The first 3/4 hours along the trail do not present any difficulty since there is not a lot elevation gain. Arriving at the end of the valley of “Goye creek” in a large camping area, in this point the path becomes the switch backs and quickly we gains height and culminates in "Laguna Negra ". In this place is the Refugio Italia at the edge of the Lagoon. Overnight at the Refugio. Estimated time: 5 hours.

Day 2

In the morning the walk begins by skirting the lagoon and heading to the “col or path” that separates the Black Mountain from Mount Bailey Willis. From this path (after appreciating the panoramic view) the trail descends westwards until crossing the ‘creek Lluvco’, to continue descending to the confluence between this stream and “La Chata creek”. After crossing we ascend by the trail to Laguna CAB. Camp and overnight in the lagoon. Estimated time: 6/7 hours.

Day 3

In the morning the hike goes around the CAB Lagoon, and then ascend to the CAB Hill. Without reaching the summit, it is skirted by the left and then descends to the Sweet Mate Valley. Camp and overnight in the Valley. Estimated time: 6/7 hours.

Day 4

The departure this day it’s early in the morning, because it is the longest day. It ascends in the direction of Cerro Cristal, once we reach the edge we get a beautiful and wide view of Tronador Mt. and its surroundings. From this point begins the descent towards the Cretton Lagoon by a "loose rock” area that requires attention. Once in the Lagoon, we walk by a ridge seeing the “Azul Lagoon” in our left until we get “Jujuy Lagoon” and from there rises to the edge of Cerro Capitán. Once on the edge, descend to the “Mallin Ricardo” and then cross it descending to Laguna Ilon. Camp and overnight in the lagoon. Estimated time: 8/9 hours.

Day 5

Depending on the energies, before descending to Pampa Linda we can access from Laguna Ilon to the "doctor's point view". The place it’s a panoramic point located an hour walk from the Lagoon, where we can see all the majesty of “Mount Tronador” in conjunction with a beautiful postcard of “Frey Lake” and behind this, the “Tristeza Arm of Nahuel Huapi Lake”. After the hike to the Panoramic Point and the camp arrangement, we begin the descent along the trail towards Pampa Linda, crossing a “mallin terrain” and then down the trail until we reach the crossing of the “Alerce River”.
