DESCRIPTION
The Peruvian White Range is without doubt one of the most representative destinies in international andinism. It is usually called “the little Himalaya” for it has more than 30 peaks higher than 6000 meters, covered with big masses of a glacier.
Day 1
Meeting Huaraz (3100 mts).
Day 2
Acclimatization Trekking, Wilcacocha Lagoon. 3750 mts.
Day 3
Acclimatization Trekking, Churup Lagoon. 4450 mts.
Day 4
Early start from Huaraz to Nevado Mateo base, ( 3 hs taxi drive), summit during the day (5180 m). Return to Huaraz in the afternoon.
Day 5
Rest day, gear check and shopping.
Day 6
Huaraz - Quebrada Ishinca (4.400mts) Base Camp Refugio. This camp serves as a base for the Urus Mountain, and Ishinca.
Day 7
Urus summit (5,400 m), overnight in Refugio.
Day 8
Rest day and overnight in the Refugio.
Day 9
Nevado Ishinca Summit (5,550 mts), overnight in BC.
Day 10
Descent to Huaraz. Goodbye dinner. Bus to lima in the night (optional).
INCLUDE
•High Mountain Guide UIAGM / IFMGA •Group equipment (, stoves, pots, ropes, etc) •Transfer from Huaraz to the begging of the trails. •Refuges, and all the meals in climbing days. •Donkeys.
