Description
First we arrive to the base of Cerro Catedral and after ascending with the chair lift up to the ridge of this mountain, the walk of 3 or 4 hours begins, bordering the West side of the massif from where you can see the “ Mount Tronador” and the “Rucaco valley”.
We descent to the Schmoll Lagoon by a rocky terrain, and finally to the Toncek Lagoon, where the Frey Hut is located. (Duration 4 hours). After lunch and rest in the shelter, we begin the return by the "normal" trail to Villa Catedral (approximately 3 hours).
